STILL IN 17TH TRADE......PART 17

I had been forced to take leave for the next few days (in fact, taken since yesterday) due to the facts that my princess, Alexis arrived earlier to this world (around 3pm today). A such, I apologize if there is any delay in updating for the next few days.

Anyway, if FKLI remains the same like the past few days (with some small black doji - Wow! Alex talking about technical analysis oh!!!), I am actually looking forward to roll into next month soon!

Cheers!

STILL IN 17TH TRADE......PART 16

Some nice reminder from a great senior who commented in my FCPO blog recently:

"For those who like status quo, must change the mindset and forget about "security". Learn how to live with INSECURITY is the only SECURITY." - How true it is? Those who built up their career with hardship and tough moments realized this! Life is always about insecurity. If you want security, then be satisfy with your security rewards! There is a great Chinese song that accompany me during those "hardship" days. For those who know Chinese, please enjoy it:

The comments goes on......

"I am sure you are not depending on "luck". Luck itself won't bring us far. I am a novice too. I am looking forward to learn more from your blog. I would have to agree with you. For me, being a trader is the one of the most satisfying job on this planet. I've worked as a charted accountant for more than 15 years before trading full time. I enjoy life much much better after decided to quit my daily job. Physical and financial freedom are among those benefits. Besides that, my health condition also improved. My relationship with my family and friends strengthened. But I must admit that initial stages are the hardest. After the breakthrough, I see life become easier and simpler...

"Learn how to live with INSECURITY is the only SECURITY" is not my register copyright, you can blog on it if you don't mind. Another thing you might be interested is, "Losing is NECESSARY in trading, but UNNECESSARY losing is to be avoided at all cost". Hope you understand what it means."

The more we climb up, the more we need to realized the danger of falling down! I have that experiences before. Hence, I appreciate what I have and I am always modest in almost everything! Chinese used to said this: "There is another higher mountain after this mountain"! Life as a trader could be tough at initial stage. But, the rewards are awesome! However, you need to work hard for that awesome result! Nothing is free!

Uncle Bryan, thanks for your nice words and I think many of my readers will appreciate it! Cheers to all!

STILL IN 17TH TRADE......PART 15

I highly recommend this book. This is one of the nice book that I read recently.

I love the facts being presented and I love how the author dig out those facts. I especially love chapter 4: "Upping The Ante". The loss aversion (people's tendency to strongly prefer avoiding losses to acquiring gains) issue being discussed was superb and I thought it reflects exactly the psychological aspects of trading! All traders need to realize that and it is equally or even more important than learning Technical Analysis! Lol!

Do you think you are that kind of traders who fear to win and dare to (being forced to?) accept huge losses? It sounds stupid but majority of players did that! Not believe? Check with intraday players! They go intraday as they scared to hold overnight. They scared to see the market gaps up when they wake up next morning. As such, they choose to get some minor returns in order to avoid the said (possible?) (maybe impossible at most of the time) risk! That is what loss aversion about! Check out this link and test yourself against it....... http://www.breakthroughcompany.com/t/bet.html

Besides loss aversion, this book is also a great guide for those who had stuck in the same degree of career without much improvement since long time ago. To be honest, I am one of those people (sigh!). So, I need a breakthrough! I really need it!

Again, there is a nice tool by the author on this. Click this link and see where you belong in the ladder game! http://www.breakthroughcompany.com/tools-ladder.html

P/s: Still holding long and need a real breakthrough (with real breakthrough volume) too! Lol!
